I attended Lourdes High School in 1997-1998. After returning home I started university and I got my degrees in Pharmacy and as an English-Hungarian Translator of Pharmaceutics in 2003.
After 10 days of being a pharmacist, I gave birth to our first son Áron. I got married with my husband in 2001. He is a senior assistant professor at the University of Szeged. Between 2003 and 2011 I mostly stayed at home as a housewife and gave birth to our second son Ákos (2004) and to our only daughter Sára (2008). And of course as a `tailor spouse` I accompanied my husband to those countries (United States, UK) where he obtained long-term scholarships.
At the beginning of this year I started working again as a pharmacist and tried to stay a mum as well. I feel like a rope-walker who has to watch every movement in order to keep balance.
In 2006 we joined a Christian family group - we have the least number of children among them. I’m really grateful to God for them. We meet every Friday evening and also on one Sunday in every month. We have a recollection day in Advent and in Lent and we spend a whole week together at summer. It is such a blessing to belong to this prayer group!
When we spent the school year of 2009/2010 in Sheffield, UK we attended to a church where they have children liturgy of the word during the mass. As our sons attended school there, they caught up with the language pretty early, so we started to attend these liturgies. It was such a relief and happiness to see our children enjoying the mass and what`s more UNDERSTANDING it and becoming more familiar with the Bible! So when we came home to Hungary we decided to translate these sermons and held these children liturgies in our parish church. Since then 3 other churches in Szeged are using our translated material to deal with the kids aged between 5 and 9 during the masses.
We also part of a program which deals with teenagers. We visit schools where we `held lessons` on self-knowledge, how to build a relationship, love and intimacy, how to solve conflicts in relationships etc..These regular lessons are interactive, of course. Our aim is to teach these kids to see the real values of life and to be faithful mates to their future spouses and responsible parents of their children in their families-to-be.
Thank you again for having me in the States and in Lourdes High School!
