I am studying Graphics Design/Animation at Kaposvár University, this is my third semester. The first year was quite easy, not much new have we learnt, but did lots of drawing and history of art, etc. I wasn't satisfied at the least. Now it is better, since we have 3D modelling, 2D animation and some more interesting classes. This year I am also the leader of the Filmclub and have been doing spinning excercises and jogging since Id come back from the US. I am happy to say I lost 48.5 lbs so far.
After finishing the three basic years I hope to apply to a better university, maybe abroad. All in all I am doing fine, and have to admit the reason I've chosen this faculty/department might be that I'd taken Graphics Design in Lourdes and liked it. In Kaposvár I've found a very good parish and I still attend the religious group in Budapest whenever I am home. Those weekends I also enjoy going to the market and then cooking for my mom, who has to work sometimes 12 hours in the hospital and lives alone now, since one of my brothers lives and works alone in the downtown of Budapest and the other one is spending half a year abroad.
In January and in August I've volunteered in Germany, then in England. For a few hours work a day I got food and accommodation and the chance to travel around a bit. Some of my jobs included: taking care of an old lady while her family was away, cooking, cleaning, mucking out pigs and therapy horses, training/walking dogs, preparing the guest rooms, weeding, babysitting, calling the ambulance, etc. These weeks were quite fun.
These are the things going on right now and only God knows where I will be in 2 years. I hope to visit my host family sometime.
