I have already started the life of a working man, working 9 to 5 as Dolly Parton liked to say (sing:). 2 years ago I have completed my studies at the Faculty of International Relations of University of Economics in Bratislava majoring in Economic Diplomacy. Throughout my studies I have been blessed to receive prestigious scholarships that have allowed to spend a great deal of my studies abroad - Hong Kong and Germany.
Upon receiving my Master"s Degree I began my job hunt ending up accepting the job offer from one of the austrian companies dealing with logistics where I have been working for over a year now as a Transport Manager.
Throughout all this time I have been active in musical activities being a member of a church choir in my home town as well as forming a guitar duo with one of my friends performing in local bars / restaurants.
One year at Xavier has changed my life from bottom up.. I often think of everything i have experienced in the United States in the way of how it changed me and how it formed me into everything I am today. I have been able to understand the whole other perception of faith. Global Outreach is based on the idea of servant leadership. Some may think, this could be some kind of an abstract idea. Well, it certainly is not.
My studies at Xavier and the unique opportunity to spend one year as a part of the local community have allowed me to obtain the prerequisites necessary to achieve almost everything mentioned above. With my knowledge and skills I have been consequently able to help other people who needed any kind of help. This is something that an Alumni of Global Outreach Program leaves the United States embedded with.
Thank you for this wonderful opportunity Xavier! I hope I will one day be able to visit again and see what the new campus with the same community spirit I enjoyed so much looks like! Lukas
